Terms and Conditions for Service Requests

Terms governing distribution and deposit requests for biological resources.

Last updated: April 28, 2026

Scope

These terms and conditions apply to all service requests submitted to the Plant Pests and Diseases Clinic Surveillance and Research Center (PPDCSRC) for the distribution or deposit of biological resources, including fungal isolates, strains, and related materials.

Eligibility

Requestors must provide accurate institutional or organizational affiliation, contact details, and a legitimate research, teaching, or diagnostic purpose. The Center reserves the right to decline requests that do not meet eligibility criteria or available capacity.

Request process

Submission of the service order form does not guarantee fulfillment. Requests are reviewed for completeness, compliance with these terms, and availability of requested materials. You will be notified of the status of your request and any next steps, including the signing of a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) where required.

MTA and compliance

Distribution of certain biological resources may require a signed Material Transfer Agreement (MTA). Requestors must complete and sign the applicable MTA template (e.g. PCBB) and submit it as instructed. Use of materials is subject to the terms of the MTA and applicable national and international regulations, including biosafety and quarantine requirements.

Use of materials

Materials provided are for the stated purpose in your request. Redistribution, commercial use, or use beyond the agreed scope may require prior written approval from the Center. Proper acknowledgment of the PPDCSRC and the source of materials in publications and reports is expected.

Liability

Materials are supplied for research, teaching, or diagnostic use. The Center does not warrant fitness for any particular purpose. Requestors assume responsibility for safe handling, containment, and compliance with applicable laws. The Center is not liable for any loss, damage, or claim arising from the use or misuse of materials after transfer.
